In January 2023, you will be able to view a rare comet that has not been seen for the past 50,000 years. The comet has been named C/2022 E3 (ZTF), and when it last flew past the Earth, Neanderthals were walking the planet. The January 2023 comet will become visible to the naked eye at the end of the month. Viewers in the northern hemisphere have the best chance to see it in the early morning hours.

  1. How good is your memory? It must be beyond brilliant if you can remember when it made its last appearance. Maybe a bloke called Adam might have wondered what it was.

  2. How do you know it's been 50,000 years and how do you know it is the same one even if it it's true? Sometimes Science isn't really all that smart.

  3. Man i always find out about something amazing astronomically after it's already passed. Guess I'll have to wait for the next time this one comes 😆

  4. WHO SAW IT!
HOW IS THIS A COMET WE HAVENT SEEN IN 50000 YEARS WHEN MOST PROOFS OF SCIENCE = MAN WERENT HERE SO AGAIN WHO SAW IT! OR HAVE YOU ACCIDENTLY ADDED AN EXTRA 0

  5. SOME Of The FOREWARNED Of SIGNS, FORETOLD THOUSANDS Of YEARS AGO, FOR THESE LAST DAYS IN THIS BENCHMARK END TIME FIG TREE GENERATION, WHICH BEGAN IN 1948 WHEN ISRAEL BECAME a NATION, St. MATTHEW 24:32-35, etc.! * * St. LUKE 21:25-26, And THERE SHALL BE SIGNS IN The SUN, and IN The MOON, and IN The STARS; and UPON The EARTH DISTRESS Of NATIONS, WITH PERPLEXITY; The SEA (SYMBOLIC Of PEOPLE, REVELATION 17:15, etc.) and The WAVES (SYMBOLIC Of PEOPLE, REVELATION 17:15, etc.) ROARING (ISAIAH 51:15, JEREMIAH 31:35, etc.); * *

  6. Had my (then) best mate and his girlfriend over for dinner while Hale Bop was in the sky. I tried to describe to them just how incredible it was that we were able to witness it. Mate was mildly interested while girlfriend just shrugged and went back inside. Wife and I haven’t seen them in a good few years now!

  7. I wonder how modern day scientists could possibly know with absolute certainty, what comet passed by 50k yrs ago.? It's not like Neanderthals had our current understanding or knowledge
