  1. When will it be a time where they stop making “concepts” and start showing us what we’ve waited a decade for….

  2. I played on a Freelancer mod server for many years. They would do wipes occasionally, but after you go through a few of them you just don't see the reason why you keep going back. Which is what happened. They did some wipes too frequently and they didn't give their players easy ways to 'get back on their feet' like they had in the past. So I just moved on.

  3. And when they say there's a wipe coming at 3.18 but that takes six months to happen, you are negating half a year of play. Because what is there to work for when you know 100% it's going to go away at X date.

  4. Its not really a drought. There is plenty of content there for testing and many new features that need feedback. CIG has chosen to lock them up for Concierge and Subscribers for a month and they have burnt out. The rest of backers have had thumb in bum for that month and wandered off tired of waiting for that PTU thats "just around the corner".

  5. Our biggest mistake was assuming this drought would be limited to January… whos to say they'll even be able to fix the major issues by then? Is it in their track record to do so?

  6. I thought 3.18 was gonna bring master modes.
    But it isn't.

No worries. RDR2 is super fun.
    Still have Cyberpunk, Elden Ring.
And Starfield and the Star Wars open world games..coming.
There are A LOT of games coming to keep me busy while Star Citizen wallows.
    Years worth.

How you do THIS kind of Star Citizen content?
    Don't know… That's why I don't do it.

  7. I've been playing Total War Warhammer 3, Witcher 3, RDR2, Gotham Knights – just give it SC a rest. The PTU is a mess and I personally don't think we're going to get 3.18 until late February if not March.

  8. Ship reviews. What ships are good for crews but can also be flown solo. Race ships. Ships that can spawn from vehicle pads. What fits in each ship. What ships each ground vehicle can fit in. Choosing armor and weps.

  9. They have had long enough to get this fucking patch ready. Sorry but the company is a shambles, as far as I can tell moving into these offices hasn’t helped the speed of development or team cohesiveness at all, we’ve had nothing last year. Yet people keep buying ships, BOYCOTT THE SHIP SALES then let’s see what they releases for us .

  10. Would it be that difficult to run the events alongside our wait though? Like jumptown , Xeno, siege? So we have stuff to do? They could sort out the rep and make that persistent across patches we would have a reason to play

  11. CiG taken their foot off the gas well and truely.

How I deal with it: Forget about the game, play other games shooters etc (Tarkov, MW2). Wait for announcement on 3.18 live.

This year is going to be mega slow and the void not being filled by anything else is disheartening.

  12. Doc's state of life: "other than STAR citizen, I'm gonna play STAR wars, STAR field, I mean give me a game with STAR in the name I'm in"

  13. The lack of communication, the lies, the misleading from CIG tells me they don't give a shit what we think. I am completely burned out on salvage. I'm over it. It's to simple, uncomplicated. In March or later when 3.18 releases I will only salvage as a grind for money..until they nerf the amount we get per scu box. All the "new" things 3.18 will add are not really a big deal, I really don't notice the "new" content. It's all stuff that should of been in game years ago. The best thing 3.18 will bring is the "move all button".

  14. As a new backer, I am using this time in the game to test and train on the systems in game with minimal expectations of progress so less stress of failing or falling behind if my "grind" is not progressing or go backwards.

  15. I'm a new content creator for SC, one note I'd like to make is what I have noticed latley. First I agree, everything is feeling different. I've noticed there has been a shift in game play and in the in-game chat. Quite a bit more grieving and I think it's a direct consequence of people just getting bored. Huge fan of the project but man they should not have left 3.18 in the state it was in.

  16. I'm going to get some grief for this probably but a 100 million dollar a year company with 800+ employees should have no droughts. And don't give me that "they deserve a few weeks off at the end of the year" crap because that doesn't happen at most any other company at least in the US. You might get the week of Christmas off through new years but then it is back to work. The idea of not having ISCs or roadmap updates until February is absurd. It would almost be acceptable if we had massive progress during the year but we clearly do not.

  17. hi Mike, To be honest, I'm Not a great fan of your channel a it is mostly about commenting on other comments/posts which for me is too, well lets say "Judgy" Is that a word?
Edit- I realise the irony in this reply/advice.
Have you noticed that there are incremental changes carried out in the PU whilst the PTU is running, e.g. NPC are far more deadly in the last few days in PU, jumping behind you instantly and doing you in with a BR-2.
Imo, Star Citizen isn't about one big patch as per common belief it is all about small live changes throughout with a big release at the end.
It may be worth jumping between the PU and PTU for your videos, only an idea.

Again just to be honest, I really agree with some of your comments.

  18. I have never agreed with large amounts of isc time off. It just doesn’t make sense, when they say it’s because they have nothing to report on.

With regards to normal backers, I don’t have access to ptu, imagine still waiting for seeing anything from 3.18, and that’s normal backers not in wave 1. We are still on 3.17 and waiting for something that was meant to be half a year ago or longer. We are potentially looking at 3.19 dropping before I get access to 3.18, let alone it be in a state a non ptu tester would be happy with.

Lastly have been waiting so long for tech blockers, I think a lot of backers have been thinking when they arrive things will be good. But people are realising now they are coming to life like pes, that just adding this tech doesn’t mean it’s now suddenly a game, it just allows them to finally start making the game, after 10 years. It’s just really becoming clear that we could walk away for 4 or 5 years come back and not miss much.

  19. Right, as long as they do not give us a few new systems, like Terra, Nyx, and Goss systems, and a few new ships, like BMM, GS, the critics will keep coming out, in a kind of fair and mild way, because critics keep things good.

  20. Rapidly losing interest …and the future ? sounds like a large ship will just be a microelectronics simulation ..CIG have lost the plot and its all downwards from here ,shame it COULD have been great but I think we should take it out of the oven now ,its done …:(

  21. Can't believe this scam job is still going strong. I don't think it started as a scam. But it definitely is now. Yes I played the game a couple years ago and it sucked. Im someone who actually tried it. Boring as hell. I play games for fun not to have to ride a train for 10 minutes. The game blows hard. The only good thing I can say its that it does look great graphically.
