I’m currently still in the process of editing my reaction to episode 1, but I will say Season 2 has NOT disappointed. Mappa taking over this series was a great decision (though I did think WitStudios did a good job last season), the animation has so far encapsulated the true bittersweet beauty of Vinland!

amazing songs, not steins gate level of beyond peak, but they were fucking amazing
I only know the parts that have been released to the public yet, but the lyrics of the opening song "River" are so wonderfully fitting for the vinland saga that it almost makes me cry. (I haven't checked the lyrics to the ending song yet, but I'm sure it will be great as well.)
