Thorfinn is pathetic. Leaves his mother and sister behind knowing their fate won’t be good. Follows a guy who murdered his father, keeps trying to fight him with honour only for him to keep beating him up when I reality if it wasn’t for Thorfinn the dude would have died ages ago. Season 2 Thorfinn is a slave with no honour or pride getting pushed around and being subservient. Only Japanese can switch a character around like this 😂 where’s all his pride now? Also he’s tiny when his father was massive 😂 He should go back to his mum ask her who his real father is.
Season one was good but season 2 was straight garbage… I’m so pissed that I wasted all that time of my life watching season two!!!

All the characters just let themselves be Victimized just so the show can force in long monologues crying about how violence hurts Everyone and all the platitudes of Woe Is Me. Why Not Show How in Real Life Violence often save lives How often violence and proper time/place actually protects and saves the weak.

I think this is why I lost patience with this show. I get it, I get it, dead inside, blah blah. The point is it isn't interesting to watch a character who has no desire to do anything, and the idea that he would stand still while being hacked to pieces is stupid. It makes no sense. If the writers really couldn't think of any agency for him in the aftermath of the dogshit ending from season one, they should not have continued.
The 2nd season was really painful to watch, it felt horrible seeing thorfinn being humiliated and hurt. Why were you so dumb :'(

For anyone who doesn’t know, he wasn’t moving because he was disciplined but because he felt like nothing mattered. Only when snake, a real warrior, swings at him does his instincts kick in and he dodged and counterattacks in a moment proving to himself that some part of him does care about his survival.
