This is a most excellent edit you've created!! Im 31 and just finished the 98' anime today and loved it. I knew nothing about this series until 3 weeks ago. I also binged Trigun Stampede with my wife at the same time and we both really liked it.

I think deep inside he accepts everything. But lossing wolfwood is something that will keep him sad his entire semi-immortal life. He does not age but that does not mean he cant get killed. I have a feeling he will be bringing flowers to wolfwoods grave every now and then. That is more a friend like wolfwood can ever ask for from somebody like vash.
