There is a reason I love anime far more than live action movies and shows. I can know the VA but I don't socialize them with their characters. Where Live Action movies I dont see the character but the actors. The way Ryuu says Luminous Wind has so much depth. The anger and depression, in the name of the greatest manga, it was BERSERK.
Ryu didn't destroy juggernaut in that moment, but this episode utterly destroyed me. 😢
As much as this scene hurts my soul, warching it after the conclusion of the season and the final juggernaut battle, i cant believe how much is in this scene that is concluded in the final battle. Kaguya entrusting her knives, the movement of juggernaut and ryu anchoring it in the final battle, alise talking about ryu making her ideals coming true of not sacrificing anyone including herself, alise asking ryu to use her magic to kill that thing, ryu in shock in this battle and facing the next battle as almost giving up. Its like they went back to this scene and just replied to every sentence in the final battle by including closure to them all. Its truly amazing after having watched the final battle, i was so sad at this scene, but now i am just in awe and have bittersweet feelings. I have so much love and respect for the Astrea familia in justbthe short time of seeing them, all their family are so interesting, their members have such unique views and are strong women, even showing fear as well as courage and determination. This season gave us true heroes, flawed yet resolute. I came to danmachi for the comedy and the fan service, i am bound because of the soul and characters. There was so much given to us in this season, its hard to remember what danmachi was like before this.

the bgm compliments this scene of their sacrifice so good, its one of those moments that you finally realize inside all that hard exterior you are indeed a human
I just can't like Bell. Ryu whole story could have been a better anime.
This was the moment Danmachi changed for me, from a good built world with good fights to lore heavy masterpiece 😭.

Fun fact about Alise's ability Agallis Arvesynth: "Agallis" was a female grammarian who commented on Homer; who wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey. Splitting "Arve" and "synth", Arve is defined as "Inheritor of property" while synthesis is "a putting together". Considering Alise is a character is meant to mirror Bell in more ways than one, I just find it worth pointing out
