The Call the Midwife actress shares two daughters with former partner Jack Ashton after meeting him on the set of the BBC drama
Call the Midwife’s Helen George is beloved by many TV viewers for her role as Trixie Franklin who returns this Christmas Day on BBC One.
It’s been teased that Trixie, who’s battled ups and downs on the show, is set to leave at the end of the upcoming series, as reported by The Sun, as her on-screen new husband, Matthew Aylward played by Olly Rix, is being written out.
It seems that Trixie might again be unlucky in love while in the past year actor Helen has had some turmoil in her romantic life too, as she split with the father of her two daughters, former co-star Jack Ashton, who played Rev Tom Hereward.

Helen was previously married to fellow actor Oliver Boot for three years, but split in 2015. Of her divorce, she said afterwards: “Going through a divorce is awful. I’d been asked to do Strictly and, strange as it sounds, I thought it would be like a sort of therapy after my divorce. I’d spoken to quite a few people who said how it really helped them through difficult times. You are focused on this one thing, it’s an emotional journey. I was so naive that I thought no-one would be interested in me, so that was a shock. I soon realised I didn’t want all that celebrity stuff.”
It's the kids who suffer the most.
